Caroline married William James McArthur, Jr 19 Dec 1894 in Park River, Walsh County, North Dakota. Their son, Merritt Hillierd McArthur, was born 27 Sep 1903 in the same area. William died tragically at a very early age in 1907, leaving his widow and very young son.
Caroline's second husband was William Henry Weishair (b 1874 in Minnesota and d after 1930 in Denver, Colorado). They married in 1912 and separated/divorced between 1920 and 1930, after which time she is found with her son, Merritt, and family in the 1930 census in Spokane, Spokane County, Washington.
She eventually located to the northern part of Seattle, King County, Washington with her son's family, where she lived until her death in 1955.
