Funeral services were held Tues. afternoon from the Ray-Burnett Funeral home for Benjamin Franklin Porteous. He died Sat. at the family home, 208 First St., Libertyville, after a lingering illness. He was born in Fremont on April 24, 1885, the son of John and Mary Ann Porteous. His wife and the following children survive: Mrs. Rose Sturm, Quinten Corner, Mrs. Rachel Madole, Libertyville, Cora and Blanche at home, PFC Lyle, U.S. Army. A brother Jess, Mundelein, a sister, Mrs. Georgianna Small, Gilmer and a great niece, Helen Exon, Libertyville, also survive. Burial was in Ivanhoe cemetery.
