Leonard Lloyd Murphy, age 85 of Maryville passed away Thursday, December 15, 2005 at Colonial Hills Nursing Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during World War II and also a member of United Steel Workers # 309, retired from Alcoa and a member of the 25 year club.

Preceded in death by first wife, Della Imogene Murphy; second wife, Reva Jo Murphy; son, Leonard Lloyd Murphy Jr.; parents, Jim and Lilly Murphy; brothers, Howard and Kenneth Murphy; sister, Ruth Woody.

Survived by his daughter and son in law, Barbara and Charles Curtis of Maryville; son and daughter in law, Allen and Jancie Murphy of Maryville; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Bernice Sparks of Maryville and Ella Mae Able of Maryville; brother and sister in law, James and Wanda Murphy of Maryville; several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will meet at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Maple Grove Cemetery for the graveside and interment service, Rev. Don Lawson officiating. The family will have a call at your convenience from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM Saturday at Miller Funeral Home, Maryville.
