BREMEN - Dale D. Heuberger, 80, of Bremen, IN, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at his home. He was born on July 28, 1930, in Bremen to the late Joseph and Mary (Beutel) Heuberger. He married Martha Wilder on Sept. 6, 1958, in Mishawaka, she survives along with a son, Andrew Heuberger and his wife Theresa of Bremen, granddaughter, Lydia Heuberger-Turner and her husband Jason of Mishawaka and two sisters, Viola Schini of Wakarusa and Elsie Berg of Frankfort. Dale was preceded in death by two sisters, Lydia Heuberger and Emma Unsicker. Mr. Heuberger was the owner of Bremen Hobbies for 50 years. He was a founding member of the Bremen Sky knights Model Airplane Club and has been active in radio control flying for over 40 years. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the VFW Post 8972 in Bremen. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1954. Funeral services for Dale will be on Sun. Feb. 13, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church 605 S. Center St. Bremen. Pastor Roger E. Rohde will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sat. Feb. 12 from 3-6 p.m. in the church. Graveside services and burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery where military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Burial Detail and VFW Bremen Post 8972. The family request that memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Veterans Funeral Care at Billings 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart, IN.
