Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle D. McDonald, age 96, of Livingston will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011 from the Chapel of Speck Funeral Home in Livingston with Bro. Aron Dillon and Bro. Ovle Tinch officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Cemetery in Allons, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 5 until 9 p.m.

Mrs. McDonald died February 10, 2011 at her home. She was born June 10, 1914 in Overton County to the late Marion and Dovie Austin Brown. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Allons Baptist Church.

She is survived by 7 daughters, Betty Abbott of Livingston, Lily M. Pennington of Rickman, Edith & R. L. Murphy of Rickman, Joyce & Wayne Bilbrey of Red Boiling Springs, TN, Diana Worley of Livingston, Joann Greenwood of Livingston, and Pat & Tommy Gore of Livingston; daughter-in-law, Lois "Trudy" McDonald of Livingston; sons, Cecil McDonald of Anderson, IN and Danny & Kathy McDonald of Allons; 30 grandchldren, 74 great-grandchildren, and 23 great-great-grandchildren; and special friends, S. D. Pennington of Allons, and Bill & Jay Warren, both of Livingston.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Elliot "Tick" McDonald, son: Garry McDonald, daughter-in-law: Jerry McDonald, sons-in-law: J. T. Abbott, Lonnie Worley, & Charlie Greenwood, 4 brothers, & 5 sisters.

Pallbearers to serve are grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be the other grandsons and the great-grandsons.
