Bart was born in Poland, immigrated to Chicago during 1872, and married Eva (Haeva) Superczynski (Super) there on August 19, 1877.

The couple and their 3 children, Hattie, Bertha and Anton, came to the Flensburg area by 1884. The May 1885 census for Culdrum Township in Morrison County lists (with some corrected misspellings) Bartholomew Adamczyk, age 41 and wife Eva 31, both born Poland (German partition), with children Hattie 7, Bertie 5 and Anton 3, born Illinois, and John 1 year old born in Minnesota. By the 1895 census this family was using the name Adamski. However, their gravestone has the original Polish spelling.

Bart farmed near Flensburg until his death in 1922. Eva died the following year.

While neither Bartholomew or Eva are named on the only Adamczyk gravestone, it is believed they are buried next to that large rose-colored stone which has a large blank space without names below Adamczyk, and "rest in peace" near the bottom. Nearby are graves for their children Bertha and Peter Adamski.

The funeral will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the Flensburg Catholic Church. he deceased was born in Poland and has resided in Flensburg for 40 years.
