John H. Hamilton, aged 50 years, a lifelong resident of Gilmore Township in the Garrison community, died in the Greene County Memorial Hospital, Waynesburg, Saturday morning, August 15, 1936, at 11:35 o'clock. He has been a patient in that institution for one week where he had undergone an operation.

The deceased was born in Gilmore Township, January 27, 1886, a son of W. H. and Margaret A. Taylor Hamilton, who survive. Mr. Hamilton was never married and is survived besides his parents by one brother, Purman L. Hamilton, and a sister, Miss Ona Mae Hamilton, both of Garrison. He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal Church, and also of the New Freeport Knights of Pythias Lodge No. 136.
