ANOTHER 0LD RESIDENT PASSED AWAY SUNDAY
Henry Thompson, Well Known and Highly Highly Esteemed Citizen Succombs to Heart Trouble --- Funeral Tuesday morning.
Henry Thompson, aged eighty-four years, died at his home, 604 East Maple Street, at 9:40 o'clock Sunday morning of a heart attack, after an illness of three days.
The deceased was a native of Illinois, born in Morgan County.
While a boy he removed to Indianaolis, Ind. and came to Nevada thirty four years ago, and worked at the carpenter's trade. During the civil war Mr. Thompson served three years in Company K, 101st Indiana Volunteers. He was a member of the G.A.R. and oldest member of the Knights of Phythias in Nevada.
Mr. Thompson ir survived by his devoted wife, one daughter, Mrs. A.R. Wiruk, of Indianapolis, Ind., a brother, Samuel Thompson, and a sister, Mrs. Laura Swearingen, both of Nevada, also two grandchildren, four great grand children and several neices and nephews. The funeral was conducted by Rev. Gaston Duncan at the home at 9:30 Tuesday morning and burial was at Deepwood. Mr.
Thompson was a splendid citizen and by his genial manner and generous nature he won a large circle of friends, all of whom will regret his passing.
