They had six children, Nancy Garrett Welborn, William Hutcherson Welborn, James Willis Welborn, Elizabeth Ann Welborn, Elizabeth Ann Wellborn, Sarah Ann Welborn, and Frances Rachel Welborn. during their marriage. They divorced on November 27, 1845 in Greenville, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. She died on October 27, 1867, at the age of 59, and was buried in her hometown.
