Bio
James Edward Dee Sr., was born in Chattanooga, TN to an strong Irish woman named Maggie O'Brien, and Sicilian born father Giacomo Di Dia aka Chris Dee aka Giacomo De Dia. He also had two siblings Giovanni Guglielmo "John W. Dee" De Dia who was born in San Diego, California. The family later return back to Chattanooga, TN, then left for Sicily. Only acouple of years did Maggie and only one son (my grandfather James E. Dee Sr.) return back to the U.S. while she was pregnant with her third child Mildred Christine Dee. A few year later Maggie and her children made their way to Houston, TX where not too far Maggie sister Willie Hollifield lived. South/East side of the 610 Loop & Hwy 69 in Houston, Texas (Coal St and 2 blocks north on Vintage St).
