MRS. BESSIE ANKRIM, 72, of South Point, Ohio, Rt. 3, died Saturday in an Ironton nursing home. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Schneider Funeral Home at Chesapeake by the Rev. Gerald Niswender. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Burlington, Ohio. Born July 23, 1899, at Lenore, W. Va., she was a daughter of the late William and Mary Evans Bowles. Her husband, Frank Ankrim, died in 1960. A retired teacher in the Williamson area, she was a member of the South Point United Methodist Church. Survivors include a stepson, William J. Thomas of Ironton; three nieces, Mrs. J. S. Stender, Mrs. Mary Maynard and Mrs. Ivadene Barthel of Columbus, Ohio; and three nephews, Marvin Maynard of Williamson, Roy and Charles Maynard of Columbus. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Monday.
