Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Gray-Sorrells Funeral Chapel for Elbert Carson Felty, 58, oil well driller, who died suddenly from a heart attack Sunday afternoon while working on an oil rig at Carthage.

The body was brought overland Sunday night to this city by Gray-Sorrells Funeral Home.

Rev. Gillian will officiate and burial will take place in Carson cemetery near Ector, Texas.

Mr. Felty was born on June 29, 1887 in Mendota, Washington County, Virginia. The family came to Texas when he was five years old and located near Wolfe City.

He had made his home in Greenville and in this vicinity and in various oil fields of Texas since that time. His parents were Michael F. and Susan Barker Felty and he was a member of the Baptist church.

Surviving are two brothers, Geo. Felty, Greenville; Mike Felty, Seattle, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Buck Dobbs, Bonham; Mrs, Vida Groves, Garrett, Texas, and several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
