Mr. Herin was born on January 6, 1918 in Macon, Georgia. Since 1933, he was a longtime faithful member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy Air Corps, serving as a member of the PBY VP-44 "Black Cats". Mr. Herin was nicknamed "Speedy" during this time. Serving during WWII, he received many distinguished awards and was the recipient of 3-Air Medals. Upon his death he was employed as CFO of Bibb Home Improvement Service. Subsequent to his military career, Mr. Herin retired from Sears Roebuck where he worked for 35 years. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur P. Herin Sr. and Livia Lawson Herin, and his much-loved first wife Frances Elizabeth Herin.
His memory will forever be treasured by his beloved wife of 49 years, Frances (Samuel) Herin and his children, Joyce (Herin) Tanis and twins, Arthur Wayne Herin & Jane (Herin) McCard; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
