NEW CASTLE--John R. Haynes, age 84,New Castle resident passed away Tuesday at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

He was born Sept.5,1924 in Tennessee, a son of Raymond E. and Amanda (Moore)Haynes.

He had worked as an electrician prior to his retirement.

He was a member of the South Memorial Drive Church of God. He was also a member of the Electrical Working Union Local 855.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

John was survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Mayme Haynes; four children, Kathy Kinsey, Connie Harvey, John David Haynes and Judi Haynes; ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rudy Haynes and Gene Haynes; one sister, Anna Ruth Parrot; and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his parents; a great-granddaughter, Lyllieann May Coffey ;and five brothers, Paul, Sam, Raymond ,Frank and Jim.


Burial was in the Mt. Summit Cemetery.
