OBITUARY
HANNAH ARABELLA BREWSTER was born August 10, 1864, in Schoharie County, New York, and died at her home in Tescott, Kansas, December 9, 1934, at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 29 days.
When six years of age, she came with the family to Iowa, and when 15 years of age, the family homesteaded near Ada, Kansas.
On March 27, 1883, she was united in marriage to W.H. Lane of Ada, and together they endured many hardships of the pioneer days. To this union was born 8 children, 3 boys, and 5 girls. Mrs. Lane was never very strong, but when health permitted she took a part in church and W.C.T.U. work. She was very devoted to her home, and took much time instilling into her children, those principles which make for true character.
She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband, 3 sons, and 5 daughters, Edgar B.,and Earnest R., of Tescott, Kansas, Otis L. of Kearney, Nebraska, Mrs. Grace Peterson of Lindsborg, Kansas, Mrs. Hazel Nelson, and Mrs. Ruth Christensen of Tescott, Mrs. Mary Taylor of Frankfort, Kansas, and Miss Dorothy of the home. Also 17 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, besides a host of friends.
