Grace Lillian was born to Peter and Maud Ecklor Mader, one of five children. Grace married Lawrence Kurtz, and they had one child.
Grace was a wonderful "auntie" to have. Her grand neices remember fondly the Thanksgiving dinners they had at her home. Yes, there was a card table set up for the "kids", but Aunt Grace always had something special sitting beside each plate. One year each of us got a pine cone turkey--fun! Another year she placed three of those stick candies, with a pretty bow holding them together.
