Dorothea was the oldest of two children born to Homer Chester and Viola Inez (Kipp) Long. she married Harold Clay Beckham in 1944. No children from this union.

* Note: Obituary states burial location as Northwest Memorial, but I can't locate any cemetery by that name, so I have placed her memorial at Skyline Memorial, where her parents and brother are all buried.

DOROTHEA BECKHAM

Funeral for Dorothea E. Beckham, 2436 N. Wygant St., who died Sunday, will be at 1 p.m. Friday from the Little Chapel of the Chimes. Committal will be private.
She was born Dec. 28, 1906 in Seattle and moved here in 1932.She taught piano lessons for 25 years and also was choir director at Patton Central Methodist Church for several years. She attended the Cornish School of Music and was a violinist in Boris Sirpo's Chamber Orchestra and played several years with Allied Arts Groups.
Survivors include her mother, Viola Long; brother Jacques Long, both Portland.
