David Luther Montoya 62, of Pueblo, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 20, 2008. Preceded in death by his son, David Pete Montoya; parents, Pete and Angie Montoya; parents-in-law, Paulino and Piedad Rivera; and brother, Edward Montoya. Survived by spouse, Betty Montoya; children, David Justin (Rosalie) Montoya, Janette (Robert) Marquez and Cecily Vigil; godson, Benjamin Rivera; grandchildren, Benny, David Jr., Davian, Raven Montoya, Angle Ayala, Antonio and Justin Marquez; special granddaughters, Brittany and Sierra Vigil; sister, Eleanor Vasquez; special niece, Laura Montoya; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. He raised his grandchildren, Benny, David Jr. and Davian; he was not only their grandfather, but their father as well. Special thanks to St. Mary-Corwin ICU and operating room staff. Viewing, 2 to 4 p.m. today, Romero Chapel. Vigil service, 1 p.m. Monday with funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary Church. Interment, Roselawn Cemetery. Family and friends will be received at Fulton Heights Hall following interment.
