Funeral services for George Biermann, 67, Rohlwing Rd., Palatine, were held at Tharp Funeral Home, Palatine, Sunday afternoon by Pleiades Lodge 478, AF & AM, Oak Park, of which he was a member for 43 years. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery in Barrington.
Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Biermann. He was born Jan. 8, 1886, in Elgin, accompanying his parents to Chicago when still a boy.
On reaching manhood he entered the employ of the Pullman Co., serving as conductor many years between Chicago and the Pacific coast. He retired three years ago after 34 years service with the company.
He married Miss Hannah M. Hinneberg Jan. 11, 1944.
During the late years as an asthmatic condition arose, he entered St. Joseph's hospital, Elgin, where he died July 30. He leaves besides his wife: a brother, William of Palatine and a sister, Mrs. Lillian Fitzmaurice, Westchester; two stepsons, Wallace B. Young and William C. Young.

George's first wife was Mildred Frees Young. They were married on April 8, 1914 in Yorkville, Kendall Co., IL.
