He married Isabelle McGuire. They had 12 children: William, Charles Alexander, John Minter, Andrew, Mary, Jesse Thomas, Martha, Jim Noel, Rachel, May, Felix, and Nancy. His first wife, Isabell, is buried in the White Church Cemetery near Regency Texas.
