~OBITUARY~
James Mac Spangler
EDWARDSBURG-James Mac
Spangler,83,of 69875 Elkhart Road,
died at 1:05p.m. Saturday in Foun-
tainview Place Nursing Home, af-
ter and illness. Mr. Spangler was a
retired machinist for Bendix Corp.
He was born July 15,1906,in Jones-
ville,VA.,coming to this area 47
years ago and coming to Edwards-
burg from Buchanan. On Oct. 18,
1930, in Jonesville, he married R.
Fay Long, who died in 1984. Surviv-
ing are two daughters, Betty Sue
Tederick of Bend,Ore.,and Pauline
L. Fairweather of Syracuse; two
sons, Charles E. Spangler of Ed-
wardsburg and Douglas Spangler
of Hillsboro, MO.; 22 grandchil-
dren; 27 great-grandchildren and a
sister Jett Croy of Moultrie, Ga.
He was a member of Edwardsburg
Community Baptist Church.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tues-
day in Paul E. Mayhew Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Adamsville
Cemetery. Friends may call from
3:30 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m.
until service time Tuesday in the
funeral home. Memorial contributions
may be made to Edwardsburg Ambulance
Service.
