Mr. Tisdale was born April 25, 1916 in Coleman, Texas and was a son of W. R. and Ethel Trusdale Tisdale. He grew up in Coleman and attended school here. He also attended Texas A&M University. On, February 5, 1938, he married Edna Mae Sparks in Coleman. He was a dairy farmer and rancher and was a member of Elm Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, Edna Tisdale of Coleman; one son, James Tisdale (and wife Sarah) of Coleman; three grandchildren, Rick Tisdale (and wife Shawna) of Coleman, Sandra Lovelady (and husband Randall) of Tuscola, Lindra Pinkerton (and husband David) of Schertz; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Hope Tisdale of Austin, Texas and Mary Yarbrough of Saginaw; and two brothers, Roy Tisdale of Belton and Mac Tisdale of Dickinson.
He was preceded in death two sisters and one brother. Memorials may be made to Elm Street Church of Christ, 216 W. Elm Street, Coleman, Texas 76834 or Holiday Hill Nursing Home, 425 US 153, Coleman, Texas 76834. Pallbearers included James Dieterich, Melton Kennedy, Roy Buse, Danny Jameson and ommy Sloan. Honorary pallbearers were Pete Floyd, Herb Wood and Jimmie Drlskill.
