Leona G. Evans, 80, formerly of Crystal Lake, IL died Sunday, January 4, 1998, at her home.
She was born in Barnsville, Minn., to Frederick and Eulalia (Petitjean) Furst.
She graduated from Community High School in Crystal Lake in 1935, a member of the honor society.
She is survived by seven daughers, Rae DuVall, Diane Emerson, Nancy Lawrence, Jeanne Sharmer, Joanne Fujimoto, Vicki Evans and Randi Evans; 12 Grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, George (Peg) Furst; and two sisters, Arlene Cheney and Marianne Milbrandt.
A short graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, January 8 at Union Cemetery in Crystal Lake, with the Rev. David Huber officiating.
In Lieu of flowers, donations should be sent to Franciscan Mission Associates, P.O. Box 598, Mount Vernon, NY 10551-0598.
Funeral arrangements were made by Querhammer Funeral Home in Crystal Lake.
