Agnes Marie Locke
Agnes Marie Locke, a Placerville resident, died May 26 at Marshall Hospital. She was 91.
She was born Jan. 11, 1908 in Kansas City, Mo., and spent her elementary and high school years at St. Agnes Academy m Kansas City. She graduated from Huff College and later attended the Conservatory of Musk in Kansas City, majoring in voice and piano. She later graduated from the New York School of Design Mrs. Locke operated her own interior design business in the mid-60's. She was involved in many civic programs in El Dorado County and was a gold card member of the El Dorado County Republican Women. She was chair of the Community Concert Association, was a member of the Newcomers Club, was past president of the Shakespeare Club and was a Humane Association entertainer for area convalescent hospitals. She was a member of many humane associations because of her love for animals.
She is survived by her brother Charles J. Fago Sr. of Placerville; stepsons Ralph V. of Napa and Sherman R. of La Grange, Ga.; and nine grandchildren. Private services were held.
