Paul J. "Pete" Suhl 82 of Bartelso died Wednesday August 23, 2006 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

He was born December 22, 1923 in Bartelso to Henry and Elizabeth (Meyer) Suhl: they preceded him in death.

He married Leona Albers July 26, 1950 at St. Boniface Church in Germantown and she preceded him in death May 16, 2002.

Also preceded in death by brothers Tony Suhl, Bernie Suhl, a sister Catherine Strake, brothers-in-law Al Strake, Nick Beer, sisters-in-law Jo Suhl, Opal Suhl and Helen Beer.

Surviving are his sons, Gary (Marian) Suhl of Centralia, Dan (Janice) Suhl of Breese, Mickey (Kelly) Suhl of Shiloh; Daughters Linda (Dom) Nessi of Alexandria Virginia, Connie (Butch) Richter of Breese; 8 grandchildren Brandon, Megan and Kristen Richter, Matt, Christy, Ashlie, Lauren and Addison Suhl; 3 great grandchildren Brayden and Samantha Richter, Ethan Rhodes; A sister Rose Silch of Carlyle; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Vincent "Speed" and Ruth Albers of Germantown.

Peter owned and operated Suhl Milk Hauling and was a farmer, a veteran of the Korean War, an avid bowler and enjoyed reading.

Member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso, Bartelso American Legion Post 976, Catholic War Veterans Marian Post, Korean War Veterans, Carlyle VFW post 3523 and Bartelso Knights of Columbus, Clinton County Farm Bureau.

Funeral mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday August 26, 2006 at 10:00 am at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Bartelso with Fr. Henry Fischer officiating Interment St. Cecilia Cemetery.
