(special thanks to Patti Jo #47525177 for the following info) William Kemper Davenport (brother-in-law of my 2nd great grand uncle) was born 10 April 1861 in Abbeville County, South Carolina, the son of Ransom Davenport and Sarah A. Jennings. He married Anna E. Hammond and from this union had the following children: Clarie Hammond (1890-1981), Joney Orr (1892-1941), Ruby (b.1894)and May Belle (b.1901). William died 14 Nov 1911 in Anderson, Anderson County, South Carolina.
