BERYL V. BEARDSLEY
Beryl Viola Beardsley, 83, of Cass City died Wednesday at Hills and Dales General Hospital.
She was born Sept. 11, 1900, in Evergreen Township, the daughter of Edward and Lavina (Alward) Flint.
Miss Flint married Ernest C. Beardsley Dec. 20, 1920, in Caro. They made their home on the family centennial farm on Cedar Run Road. Her husband died April 7, 1981.
She was a member of the Sutton-Sunshine United Methodist Church; the United Methodist Women; Elmwood Missionary Circle; Farm Bureau; Cass City chapter of the American Association of Retired Persons, and Echo Chapter No.337, Order of the Eastern star.
Mrs. Beardsley is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Archie (Shirley) Stephenson of Westminster, Calif., Mrs. Loren (Laura) Bigelow of Ashley, and Mrs. Richard (Eileen) Beach of Lowell; one son, Clinton Beardsley of Colchester, Vt.; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Sarah Collins of Marlette. One grandson, one sister and one brother preceded her in death.
An Eastern Star memorial service was held Friday evening at Little's Funeral Home, under the auspices of Echo chapter.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon at Little's, Rev. Janet Larner of the Sutton-Sunshine Church officiating.
Burial was in Elkland Township Cemetery.
