OBITUARY - The Denver Post, December 30, 1966

Services were Saturday at Olinger Mortuary, E. Colfax Ave. and Magnolia St. for Dr. Harry Byron Talhelm 1233 Sherman St. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis, Kansas.

Dr. Talhelm, 74, a dentist for 50 years, died unexpectedly at his home.

He was born August 8, 1892, at Minneapolis, Kansas, and attended pre-medical school at McPherson (Kansas) College. He graduated from the former dental school at the University of Denver.

Dr. Talhelm married Bertha Hunter June 25, 1950, at Wichita, Kansas.

He was a life member of the American Dental Association; 50 year member and past president of the Metro Denver Dental Society, and past president of the Colorado Dental Society. He was a member of the South Denver Lodge No. 93, AF&AM; Rocky Mountain Consistory No. 2 and El Hebel Shrine Temple.

Dr. Talhelm was a life member of Delta Sigma Delta national dental honorary fraternity and a member of the Silver Council, Sigma Phi Epsilon social fraternity.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 1 after World War I service in the Army.

He is survived by his widow and two sisters, Mrs. Blanche Frantz, Rocky Ford, Colorado, and Mrs. Ruth Wadeigh, Apache Junction, Arizona.
