FUNERAL SERVICES FOR J. T. WHATLEY HELD MAY SECOND
Interment Made In Old Sweetwater Cemetery Southwest Of Town
Services were held Thursday afternoon at the Old Sweetwater church, southwest of Leakesville, for James Terrell Whatley, 47, well known Greene county man, who died suddenly of a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday.
"Good Jimmy," as he was affectionaly called by family and friends, lived in the home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Whatley, whom he supported. His father has been an invalid for several years, and depended upon the deceased to operate their farm and carry on the family affairs.
Funeral services held at Old Sweetwater Baptist church, with his pastor, Rev. M. E. Perry and a former pastor, W. E. Stewart, Hattiesburg, Miss., in charge. Interment was in cemetery near the church.
Immediate survivors, beside his parents, are four sisters and two brothers as follows: C. C. Whatley, Mrs. Lucinda Parker, Mrs. Vessie Curry, all of Mobile, Ala., Ertis Whatley, Gulfport, Miss., Mrs. Ella Strandburg and Mrs. Lizzie Pierce, both of Leakesville.....[The Greene Co.
