Ernest David Ray was the son of Aubrey Winston Paul & Betty Mae Willard Ray. He had 4 children all of Dallas,Dallas Co,Texas. His oldest son Paul Howard David (Davey) passed on in 1997. They are buried next to each other.
He is survived by his widow, Donna Sue Collins Ray, and his 2 sons Jeffrey & Tina Cox Ray of Mesquite, Tx, Jason Ray of Mesquites, Tx .and his daughter Tracie Ray also of Mesquite, Tx . 3 brothers, Freddie Ray of Lancaster,Tx. Frankie & Cindy Ray of Flower Mound, Texas & James Ray of Clovis,Ca. 2 sisters Betty Sue Ray & Paula Maxine Ray both of Dallas,Texas. He had 5 grandsons, Jeffrey, Justin, Jonathan, & Tristan Ray, Sammy Marlow and 1 granddaughter Meagan Marlow all of Mesquite,Texas;
He worked as a electric motor re-winder,for A-1 Electric Motors, Story Electric Motors, Oxford Electric Motors since he was 17 yrs of age.
David had a brain tumor,that was benign,and surgically removed. Then found out he may have lung cancer. They went to do a biopsy,and accidentally collapsed his lung. Cancer cells from his collapsed lung spread thru his entire body,causing him to have terminal cancer. The doctor gave him 6 months,he died 2 months later.
David was a very kind,loving & generous man.You couldn't ask for a better person than him.He made friends very easily.He knew no strangers.We miss you,David!
