Lydia Ann Branson, age 62, lost her battle with lung cancer on Thursday, February 3, 2011. She died at home, surrounded by those who loved her.

Born June 16, 1948, in Liberal, Kansas, she lived in several cities throughout Kansas and Missouri before settling in Lehigh Acres, Florida in 1993. She worked in the accounting offices at Waterman Broadcasting in Fort Myers and was a member of the North Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lehigh Acres, FL.

Lydia was known for reaching out to help others including caring for her own mother for over twenty years. She always had a smile for everyone, and loved traveling throughout the U.S. to visit friends and family.

Survivors include her daughter L'Chelle Branson of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Curtis Branson of Beaverton, Oregon, Ernest Branson of Fort Myers, Florida, and Spring Larkin of Harrisville, Michigan.

A memorial service, open to the family and friends, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 206 Lee Blvd., Lehigh Acres, Florida. Burial will be held in private.
