Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Barry Richard officiating. Burial followed in the Crescent Cemetery under direction of Abernathy-Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
He was born Sept. 29, 1934, in Oklahoma City to Grady G. and Bernice Wright Wooden.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the VFW.
Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Green of Crescent; one son, Jimmy Wooden of Pond Creek; three brothers, Jay Wooden of Piedmont, Don Wooden of Oklahoma City and Mike Wooden of Bethany; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Bonnie, two brothers, Wayne and Grant Wooden, and two sisters, Wand Lou Wooden and Jean Hankla.
