Denie Willis Armand Jr., a native of Dupont and a resident of Zachary, died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011. He was 74 and a retired employee of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, where he worked for 32 years.

Arrangements entrusted to Charlet Funeral Home Inc., Zachary. Visitation at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Zachary, until service, conducted by the Rev. Joe C. Carlo. Burial in Azalea Rest Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy Ann Henderson Armand; son, David Willis Armand and his wife, Tammy, of Zachary; two sisters, Una Ruth Dugas, of Maringouin, and Dianne Armond Bathurst, of Hawaii; brother, Oscar Joseph Armond, of El Cajon, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Brittney Brewer, Keighly Elizabeth Armand and Allyson Lynell Armand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Denie Armond Sr. and Salonie Armond; and brother, John Roland Armond.

He loved to hunt and was a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Men's Club.
