He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynn Smith, two brothers, one sister and two infant grandsons.
He was a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. and retired in 1975 after 32 1/2 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 974. He processed and sold Havana Clover Honey.
