Son of John and Freida Fuller Bryant, he married Verla Ruth Lippert on Aug. 1, 1934, in Danville. She survives.

Also surviving are eight daughters, Chris Alderson, Eloise Richardson, Denise Mallott, Jenny Trimpe, Mary Coots, Marlene Brown, Margaret Johnson and Cathy Hazelwood; seven sons, Dale, Steve, Donald, David, Bill, Rob and James; one brother, Gene; 48 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynn Smith, two brothers, one sister and two infant grandsons.

He was a machinist at Caterpillar Inc. and retired in 1975 after 32 1/2 years. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 974. He processed and sold Havana Clover Honey.
