Mrs. Ada Gayle Tadlock, age 83, of 1417 Pecan Ave. died July 13, 1971 in local hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. on Wed. in the Green Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. J. C. Jones, Jr., pastor, Rev. H. D. Garmon pastor Hickory Grove United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. She was born July 12, 1888 in Lancaster County, S.C. She is the daughter of the late William D. and Rachel Ellen Steele Gayle. She was a member of Green Memorial Baptist Church. She is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Barron R. Phillips, Mrs. J. Vance McConnell, both of Charlotte, Mrs. James A. Matson of Newton, N.C., Mrs. Edward W. Womack of Nashville, Tenn.; 3 sons, W. Grady Tadock of Matthews, W.O. "Jack" Tadlock of Winston-Salem, N. C.; 3 sisters, Mrs. A. C. Bumgardner of Gastonia, Mrs. H. M. Mullis of Ft. Mill, S. C., Mrs. Pearl Riggins, Pageland, S. C.; 19 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Friends are to send memorials to Green Memorial Baptist Church Carpet Fund. Arrangements by McEwen.
