Funeral Services were held Tuesday in Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel for James Edgar Graninger, 74, a retired carpenter who died Sunday in a local hospital. Burial was in East View Memorial Park.
Mr. Graninger was born Aug. 18, 1901, in Bonham, a son of the late Mr. Albert Graninger and Mrs. Leona Whaley Graninger. He married Virgie Manory in Fannin County, then later married Bertha Phillips Richardson
He was a member of a Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, two sisters Mary Elizabeth Zipperle and Addie Lee Bachman, three brothers J.D. Graninger, Albert T. Graninger and Frank Graninger, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dan Bradford, Archie Hines, Ennis Horn, Billy Lee, John Quintero and Buddy Kemp.
