Paul Scott Bateman, 77, 8705 E. Jackson St., died Sunday in Liberty Village Nursing Home where he resided the past six weeks. Born in Johnstown, Pa., he came to Muncie as a young adult and worked 36 years for Muncie Chevrolet, retiring in 1973. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Mr. Bateman was a member of the Indianapolis-Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 651, and Avondale Sympathy Club. He was a member of the WISH-TV Channel 8 Weather Watchers Team.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel with burial in Beech Grove Cemetery.
Calling is 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
