Cathleen Myers Dearinger, our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on February 2, 2011.

Cathleen was born to Lorin LaVar and Irma Lee Bell Myers in Salt Lake City on April 19, 1950. She grew up in the Salt Lake Valley, where she graduated from South High School and attended BYU.

While attending BYU, she met her eternal companion, Thomas Michael Dearinger. Thomas and Cathleen were married in the Salt Lake Temple on April 9, 1971. Shortly after their marriage, they moved to Tom's hometown of Granite Falls, WA. They returned to the Salt Lake Valley one year later after the passing of Cathy's father. They remained in the valley the rest of their lives.

Cathy always loved children, and with Tom was blessed with two sons and two daughters: Michael Thomas, Jeffrey David, Cindy Michelle, and Kimberly Ann. Cathy will forever be remembered for her love of angels, sunflowers, and the hundreds of birthday greetings she sent faithfully every year to all members of the Dearinger and Myers families.

She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law Daniele (Jeffrey), her mother, Irma Myers Willette, step-father, Wayne Willette, three brothers, Erick Myers, Dane (Mary Jo) Myers, Tracy Myers, three sisters, Maureen (Duane) Teerlink, Ruth (George) Ouzounian, and Martha Ruud. Also many nieces, nephews, cousins, her "adopted" grandchildren, James, Megan, and Hadley, and her beloved friends Till and Rick Adams and Kellie Myers Bosarge. She was preceded in death by her husband, two daughters, and her father.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Brighton Fourth Ward Chapel, 2301 East Bengal Boulevard (7600 South), Cottonwood Heights, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 West South Jordan Parkway (10600 South), South Jordan, Utah, and from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the Ward Chapel prior to the services.
