Jessie May Bodmer, daughter of Carrie Melissa (née Wiles) and Jacob Bodmer, junior, was born in Poolesville, Montgomery County, Maryland.

Graduated Poolesville High School in 1916, and in 1918 was employed as a teacher by Montgomery County

She married Fred Munger Campbell on 27 December 1924.

F. M. Campbell Weds Jessie M. Bodmer; Marriage License Issued in Rockville. Miss Jessie M. Bodmer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bodmer, Poolesville, Montgomery county, and Frederick M. Campbell, of Washington, were married yesterday [27 Dec 1924] afternoon in the home of the bride in the presence of family and friends. The bride's brother-in-law, the Rev. Stockton Myerly, of Chicago, assisted by J. N. Mast, pastor of the Poolesville Methodist church, performed the ceremony. Following a small reception, the couple left for their honeymoon trip.

Mrs. Jessie B. Campbell, 91, formerly of Fisher Avenue, Poolesville, died Wednesday, April 12, at Homewood Retirement Center, Frederick.

Born in Maryland, Mrs. Campbell was a daughter of the late Jacob and Carrie Bodmer and the wife of the late Fred M. Campbell.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of Poolesville United Methodist Church and the Upper Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.

Surviving are one son, John Campbell of Montana; one sister, Minnie Myerly of Frederick; one grandson ; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 17, at the Poolesville United Methodist Church, Elgin Road, Poolesville, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Interment will be in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.

Expressions of sympathy, in Mrs. Campbell's name, may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by the Hilton Funeral Home, Barnesville.
