Harry T. Burkhardt, 79, 1810 Hatcher Hill Road, died yesterday at King's Daughters' Hospital
He was a native of Madison, a retired Civil Service employee having worked at the Madison Post Office for several years, and was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Jessie Ricketts Burkhardt; one son, Larry, Vancouver, British Columbia; three sisters: Mrs. Isolina Bryant and Mrs. Virginia Smith, both of Madison; and Mrs. Helen Nixon, Tucson, Ariz.; two brothers: John and Louis, both of Madison; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.
Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the St. Mary Catholic Church with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Vail-Holt Funeral Home Madison Chapel from 5 until 8 p.m. today where the rosary service will be at 7 p.m. today.
