George Lawrence Ashcraft Jr., 64, of Coopers Creek, died Wednesday in General
Division, CAMC, after a short illness.
He was a retired employee of DuPont in Belle, a World War II veteran and a
member of the Masons, Scottish Rite bodies, Order of DeMolay and Moose Lodge.
Surviving: wife, Edith Henry Ashcraft; daughter, Mrs. Genilee Loftus of Sumerco;
sons, George L. III of Maiden, Thomas H. at home; brothers, James of Fairmont,
Ray of Toledo, Ohio; sisters, Mrs. Sue
Gilbert of Elmira, Mrs. Pearl Pittard of Manassas, Va., Mrs. Marie Sampson of
Toledo, one grandchild.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Myers Funeral Home, Elkview, with the Rev.
Charles Miller officiating.
Burial will be in Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home.
