Albert Joshua Early, 88, of the 7800 block of Caribou Ave., died March 1, 2001, in Leigh Memorial Hospital.
A native of Norfolk, Mr. Early was the widower of Elizabeth Mary Early and retired from Peoples Drug Store as a pharmacist after 25 years of service. He was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and Wesleymen Bible Class.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Mary V. Cook of Norfolk; three sons, Steven Hines of Atlanta, Ga., Arthur J. Early of McLean, Va., and Josh Early of Wilmington, Del.; a stepson, George W. Root of Roanoke; a niece, June Trafton of Virginia Beach; and seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Forest Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Phyllis Earley. Family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
