For twelve years, from 1947 to 1959, William Waltz owned and operated the Cartersburg Upholstery Shop at Cartersburg. In March of 1960 he, with his family, moved to Danville where he passed away Monday evening. It was due to ill health that he retired from his upholstery business.
He was born in Mooresville March 29, 1906, the son of Sylvester and Iva (Francis) Waltz. He was a member of the Nazarene church at Martinsville.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) at the Weaver Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Earl Marvel officiating. Burial will be at Mooresville.
Survivors include the widow, Clara Waltz; four [should be five] sons, Robert of Clayton, Richard and Bill of Indianapolis, Dennis and Randy at home; and one daughter, Janice, also at home. Other survivors are two sisters, Osie Smith and Evelyn McKenzie of Mooresville; two brothers, Omar Waltz of Mooresville and Harry Waltz of Martinsville, and six grandchildren.
