In a biography of Charles Vogan it mentions Charles going to Colorado from Ohio with his mother and uncle in 1871. Two of Annie's brothers both settled in Colorado during this time and this would have gave her a chance to start a new life. Once in Greeley she meet Samuel Roberts, an older gentleman, who was in his later 50's with three grown children in Michigan. In 1876 they married, Ann was 36 and Samuel was 61.
The following year, 1877, Clarence Rufus Roberts was born. By this time Harry was pretty much on his own, so there were only three boys in the household. Then once again, for the third time, Annie became a widow. Samuel suddenly collapsed and died in 1883. The two older boys were able to work outside the home and she kept up the farm, the 1885 State Census shows her as a ranch manager with the three boys still with her, but not long after she was forced to move into town, by 1900 she and Clarence were the only ones in her household. In 1906 Annie's health was failing so Clarence took her to Oregon to be with Harry and John and their families, hoping it would benefit her health. However she passed away while there at the age of 67. She had lived 36 years in Greeley. Clarence brought her back to Greeley and she is buried next to Samuel and not too far from her brothers and their families.
