Henry Bauer, 89, of Greeley died Tuesday, March 14, at the Hospice of Northern Colorado Inpatient Unit.

He was born April 10, 1910, in Hastings, Neb., to George John and Katherine Margaret (Bauer) Bauer.

Mr. Bauer had lived in Greeley since moving here from Fort Collins in 1929. In 1932, he married Rosalie Werner at St. John's United Church of Christ in Greeley.

During World War II, Mr. Bauer worked for United Air Lines in Cheyenne. In 1946, he went to work at Montgomery Wards in the appliance department, where he worked for 34 years until he retired.

He was a life member of St. John's. He enjoyed fishing and traveling. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.

Survivors are his wife, Rosalie Bauer of Greeley; two sons, Don Bauer and Jerry Bauer, both of Greeley; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Bauer of Wenatchee, Wash.; two sisters; Millie Altergott of Fort Collins and Emma Cadwalader of Mesa, Ariz.; a brother, Fred Bauer of Greeley; six granchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A son, Henry Allen Bauer; a grandson, Paul Donald Bauer; four sisters, Katherine Anderson, Mary Kern, Esther Bauer and Elizabeth Bauer and three brothers, Jake, George and Jacob Bauer, are deceased.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's United Church of Christ. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.
