Anton Charles Otteni, age 62, of Erie, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2011. He was born in Erie on December 20, 1948, a son of the late Anton and Winifred Killmeyer Otteni.

Anton was a graduate of Erie East High School, Class of 1966. After being discharged from the U.S. Army, where he served in the Military Police Corps., he was employed with the City of Erie Parks Department. He was an avid bicyclist, photographer of wild life and tinkered with electronics. He loved and dedicated his life in taking care of his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Otteni. Survivors include a sister, Winifred Nickell and husband, James; nieces, Diana Romanoff of Chardon, Ohio, Paula Szoszorek of Erie and a nephew, Andrew Richey of Erie, Pa.

Friends may call at the Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38 St. Saturday from 10 a.m. until a service at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Mark A. Nowak officiating. Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery.
