Fritz or Pa, as he was known, was the son of August Herman and Anna Amelia (Winkelman) Becker. He was the brother of: Vernon, Louise Augustine "Lizzie", Augusta A. "Gusta", Martha, William Carl "Bill", Ferdinand H., Otto H., Minnie B., John George, Anna Clara and Marie L. He served in the US Army during World War I stationed in France. He married Gladys Ray on December 19, 1919 in Yuma, Colorado. They had the following children: Glenn, Frank, Doris Elnora, Carl Ray, Gerald Ray and Freda Mae.
