Services are pending at Denton Funeral Home for Claude A. Wiggins, 93, who died Aug. 11, 1986 in Chowchilla, Calif.
Born Aug. 10, 1893, in Pecan Gap, Texas, he moved to Carlsbad in 1936 from Vera Texas. He had lived in Trockmorton for six years prior to that. He married his late wife, Susan Maggie Galloway, on July 31, 1915, in Vera, Texas. She prceeded him in death on May 18, 1979. He was a retired mechanic and farmer. He was also a member of the Pentacostal Church.
He is survived by two sons, Lee Wiggins, Carlsbad; and Claudie Wiggins, Chowchilla; three daughters, Josephine Sheppard, Chowchilla, Winnie Belle Heard, Carlsbad, and Marie Garnett, Tucumcari; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
