Statesboro - M.B. "Red" Hendricks Jr., 74, died Monday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Candler County native was a long-time resident of Statesboro and was retired from the A.B. McDougald Oil Co. in Statesboro. He was a member of Statesboro Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mary Alice M. Hendricks of Statesboro; a daughter, Mrs. Robert L. Phillips of Statesboro; a sister, Mrs. Alton McCullough of Cadwell; and two grandchildren.

Funeral: 3 p.m. today at Smith-Tillman Mortuary in Statesboro, burial in Eastside Cemetery. Remembrances: to Statesboro Presbyterian Church.
