Louella E. Schooley Hile, 91, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2008, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, where she had been admitted Friday.

She was born December 6, 1916, in Montgomery, a daughter of the late Clarence A. and Edna (Andrews) Ward. She and her husband, Arthur W. Hile were married in 1956. Her first husband, W. Harold Schooley preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1955.

Louella owned and operated Hile's Fabric and Gift Center on Route 15 in Allenwood for 20 years. A talented seamstress, she loved to sew and follow fashion and designs. She loved being a homemaker and enjoyed decorating her home. She also enjoyed playing the piano and could play beautifully by ear.

She was a remember of Watsontown Baptist Church and loved reading her Bible.

IN addition to her husband, she is survived by on son and daughter-in-law, William H. Schooley and wife Sharmane, one daughter and son-in-law, Clarice A. Schooley-Masser and husband Walter C., all of allenwood six grandchildren, Edward, Arthur W. and Kimberly A. Masser, William, Charles, and Cloria Ann Schooley; 11 great-grand children; one brother, Amos Ward of Williamsport, and two sisters, Maxine Fink of Williamsport, and Thelma Freezer of Montoursville.

Preceding her in death besides her first husband were several brothers and sisters.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public viewing. A graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery, with the Rev. James Ritter, her pastor, officiating.

The family will provide the flowers.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main Street, Watsontown.
